Juan Cossío, flute
For Juan Cossío (Gijón, 1996), flute and music have been a big part of his life for the last 20 years. During his studies, he left his hometown for A Coruña first, then Madrid, Köln (Germany) and nowadays, Rotterdam (Netherlands). As a flutist, he has been an official pupil of such maestros as Jacques Zoon, Robert Winn, Thaddeus Waton or Aldo Baerten, and has taken lessons with Davide Formisano, Pirmin Grehl, Stephanie Winker or Ginevra Petrucci among others.
During his path, he has collaborated with an endless amount of groups, ensembles, symphony orchestras and artists, working on a very wide range of musical genres, but obviously being classical music his main occupation. His constant interest in progress and innovation in the classical music field has brought him to organize, direct and create different and innovative musical events, being the most remarkable of them all the production “Consecuencias de la Sed”, a blending of dance and live music, co-created with his partner, the dancer Pablo Dávila, and successfully premiered in summer 2021.
