Erika Gundesen, conductor & répétiteur

Canadian pianist and conductor Erika Gundesen is a distinguished graduate of the University of British Columbia and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She completed an assistant conductor fellowship at the Guildhall and was subsequently a National Opera Studio and Britten Pears Young Artist, and a Scottish Opera Emerging Artist. Named as a BBC Music Rising Star in 2019, Erika now works in London as a freelance pianist and music director in musical theatre and opera, with a particular passion for contemporary and newly-written works. She is also the music director of Virtually Opera, lately featured in the Tête-a-Tête and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.
